    Video Slicing

    Hello,

This is my first post. I am launching a pay site fairly soon, and need to get ya'lls opinion on a few things:

    1) What program would you recommend for slicing my finished MPEG video files to smaller chunks? e.g., 30 second and 2 minute long clips.

    2) The finished video size for DSL is about 500 MB (MPEG1), and about 140 MB for 56k MPEG1 version. The video is about 40 minutes long. Is this an ideal size? Should I change formats? Use different bitrates?

I would appreciate any help I can get.

    Thank you!

    Brandon

shameless plug....please visit my site at:

    http://www.musiciansoft.com/windows/...a.asp?OS=video

CDH MediaWizard, Vegas, Ulead are examples to edit the footage.

Of course I like Windows Media; even smaller file sizes and better quality.

I am looking for these type of sites; hit me up...

140 megs on 56k is a long ass time, maybe you should split it up a bit more

            Flash FLV is your answer
MPEG 140 = FLV is 40 or so

Check out how we use it, no buffer, 65% smaller size than MPEG or WMV or .mov
