Animations?

How the hell do I make animated gifs!? I can't seem to get ImageReady to do it. Anybody know of any tutorials out there? I'm willing to buy new software if I have to.

You can try using Gif Construction Set.

It's a very easy why 2 create animations...
Wanna do big work... why don't you get Flash MX
en export as animated gif

use imageready..not some half ass gif animator prog.
Just load an animated gif into imageready and you can easily work from there and see how it's build up

aren't flash animations much smaller files than .gifs?

flash animations are much smaller than animated gifs but their is a drawback in that not everyone (although they should) has flash installed on their machine. However you can produce an animation in flash and export it in gif format. So either route you choose with flash you cant really go wrong.

LOL* i have no idea man, jk. well i use flash for complex animation like website intro and flash header for a site.

If you are on porn biz, and you need animation just to create a simple banner/button, it'll save you time if u use adobe imageready or other gif animation program, the negative part is that the animation is limited not like in using flash. Well, flash as well has a negative side, viewer must have the appropriate plugin in order to play ur animation but i dont think that's really a prob nowadays coz latest browsers already has a built in capabilities to play flash animation, and it's worth using u can check 1 of my flash proj:

you can't do that in an gif animation software i guess, hope that explains what im tryin to point out here...
