    Hosting Info Please?

I was sent a contract by a hosting company that charges $250.00
a month for one year. If you don't pay by the 10th of each month
you get taken off line, which can be a breach of contact and you owe
$250.00 for each of the remaining months.

Is this normal for hosting companies? Anybody in the GFY family know
of a hosting company, that is not a trap? Please Let me know!

Seems fairly straight forward, the easiest thing to do would be get a company with no contract.

Give me an ICQ: 4930562 if your looking for a no contract setup.

ICQ me and I'll set you up asap without any contracts, for the same price, but on a P4 3.0 Ghz server. Later!

No contract is the way to go - on single servers we offer no contracts. Contracts are meant for people that are going to be using 1+ full 42U racks and 10->100mbit of sustained traffic if not more.

        Regards,

We don't need no stinking contract . . . always read the TOS/AUP before you buy!

Sounds like you need a no-contract host...
There are a LOT of hosts that do hosting with no contract...
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

To be honest, this sounds pretty simple. If you don't pay, they're not going to provide you with the service you should be paying for. What's the big deal?

Like everyone else said, if this is a problem, go to a no contract host.
