    How to make it work?

Hey I'm very new at this..yes I know you can see me turning all red and blushy! I'm a corporate cut-back victim,(sob!) and I'm trying new things...I figure most of those corporate big wigs are pretty much beat-offs anyway, so maybe I'll get some money from 'em this way! HA! So I've built a couple free boards on a free hosting site, want to build more..but NOW what?? Whats the best way to get traffic to my sites? I really want to learn this crap and i think I have the right fucking attitude, don't you?! So how about helpin the new kid with some straight skinny on gettin some checks in the mail! THANKS!

Phoenix25x realize that there are as many ways to get traffic to your sites as your going to get sarcastic posts to this thread. You could build AVS sites, submit to TGPs, TGP2s, Search Engines, Link Lists, Traffic Trades, Top Lists, all of these are great ways to get traffic but no one can tell you what's the best. Its all pretty much just a guess an check.
My two cents are only worth half that

Thanks for the quick reply. ANY help appreciated! As for the TGPS, exchanges, etc..again, all pretty new to me...but maybe I could also get legit suggestions on some good places (by name) to start. And by the way, how many places typically must you list your sites before you start to see some traffic? Lookin for suggestions from other webmasters who and can speak from their own experience. I know this is boring to you experienced masters out there. Sorry! Gracias.

          Hey phoenix,

You're not alone--no need to blush. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Hosts4Porn.com, but you can find lots of useful information about setting up sites, driving traffic, and earning a profit.

For information on developing your own site and how to get started, I would first recommend a trip to our beginner's section:
          http://hosts4porn.com/articles/newbie.cfm
          http://hosts4porn.com/pornhoster/qanda.cfm

As well as The Pornhoster's FAQ:
          http://hosts4porn.com/pornhoster/qanda.cfm

After reading up there, you should be well versed on the technical issues surrounding adult sites.

If you want guides about profiting from the adult Internet, we've got those too:
          http://hosts4porn.com/guides/profiting_from_toc.cfm

And would follow that up with trips to our developer and advanced sections:
          http://hosts4porn.com/articles/developer.cfm
          http://hosts4porn.com/articles/advanced.cfm

I hope this is of some help. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to drop us a line.
          Good luck!
          k

            It's a momentum game.

Get some initial traffic however you can -- buy it, trade links, submit to search engines, whatever.

Then build on it by joining Top 100 lists, where the more traffic you send the higher up on the list you go. First you start with the less competitive lists where it's not so hard to grab a banner slot. Then as your traffic builds you can graduate to more and more competitive lists.

Most of my traffic comes from Top 100 lists. Some of them give you extremely good returns on your traffic.

            Here's the lists I own:

            http://www.disapproved100.com/topsites
            http://www.depravedtop100.com/topsites
            http://www.sicktop100.com/topsites

You'll see that I practice what I preach!

It is a tough biz to be in. Do a lot of research on all of the webmaster boards that you can. Tons of great info is there, you just have to read it and weed through the junk stuff.
