thumbnail maker

Im looking for a program, preferably freeware. Automatically makes thumbnails from a specific folder. anybody have a sugestions?

Do you have Adobe Photoshop? Any webdesigner should. It has an auto thumbnail generator feature in it. I never knew about this feature untill about a month ago. Makes gallery creation A LOT easier!

I use Coffee Cup software,
its an html editor, gif animator,banner maker, and thumbnail creator all in one programme(uk spelling)and you can do lots of other stuff with it as well!.

i use photoshop too.. and i love it soo much.. i just use it to make thumbs.. and pretty soon ill be making my own .php script that makes thumbs with all images.. (that way i can just upload the images..) lot more easier to make my members area galleries

I use thumbsplus just to make the thumbnails and the tables, then I usually copy and paste the table into Frontpage (yeah, I know, so sue me) to do the cleanup, add banners and crap. It works for me and doesn't take long. Registered version of Thumbsplus is $75, I think.

I have been using this freeware program found at: http://www.vikarplus.com/opentechnology.html which is one of the best IMHO. Its very easy to make thumbs with gallery pages to go with them and you can use your sites layout with the template provided. I have tried many of these programs and this one ROX!

Another thing the author tells me he is working on a new version with even more features and adding new bugs like all good programmers do since it has become so popular.

If you like the freeware then keep an eye out for the shareware version. I will repost the URL when it becomes available for DL.

Actually I am working on making my own Adult Webmaster companion software. It's very fast, very small and does what Adult Webmasters want and nothing more. So far It can autoname multiple files (to make them fit your html templates), it can also make thumbnails. You can decide size as well as quality of the thumbs, and your settings (thumb dir, thumb size, quality etc) are al saved so you only have to set it up once. It's almost finished but I am still looking for ideas on what features to implement. Would anyone here like to be Beta testers and send me suggestions ? Let me know what you think..

I bet almost everybody uses ACDSEE, the thumbnail tool is pretty,but it has a bad compression tool, so i save the thumbs in 100% compr.ration and then i use ulead smart saver in order to fix their size. No more than 30sec to build the thumbs.
