anyone used 123links.com or similar search engine posters..
I am lazy and wondered if they were worth the money

My advice is to hand-submit to the big SE's ... Your ranking may suffer if your site has been submitted by a script/program. Auto-submit only to the small SE's. There are some free submission services and programs you can use, such as Submitta (www.submitta.com)

I am using http://www.commandopro.com/ (that's not a "paid link"). It's pretty good, and very very flexible. It does the submissions via proxies (if you want).
... and furthermore, I found the "information" that you get along with the s/ware to be useful also.
