I find it's easy to look at other sites, "view source", and copy and paste the code into notepad. use what you like from different sites.... use notepad.. keep it casual.

Notepad is perfect for cleaning things up, but I see no reason why you wouldn't want to do the page first in a WYSIWYG editor. Especially if you are making galleries for porn sites! Who the hell has time to type all that code by hand?

Chalingo, html code is copyrighted, so in copying it and using it you are in the wrong. Simple as!

Ha ha ha ha. Yup, little bits of code is ok, like figured out how to make a graphic border around the table, but your original post made it sound like you would copy the whole page and then change the site title... that, my friend, is copyright infringement.

Learning from code is ok, but you shouldn't paste code into your page. Learn from it, and then write it yourself.

I've blacklisted more than one site because of stealing site design. Some little dickhead just copied my entire webmaster's section of my page for his own use, even the colors. I'm surprised the moron remembered to change where the links go to.

No offense but HTML editors are for lazy asses who don't know how to write simple HTML that is so easy it's not even considered programming by any means, and for people who love to have a 200 kb HTML file that just says 'hello'.

Just joking everyone, but I really do HATE HTML editors - try explaining to someone about HTML like 'base target' who uses an editor, and you'll hate them, too. Editing is just so much faster in notepad (er.. wordpard, i hate notepad - why doesn't bill gates make a fucking text editor that uses the NORMAL shortcut keys, that allows text LARGER than 64 kb, and that supports ONLY text, so you dont paste colors/fonts of crap you copy off of html pages, AND why don't they color code the fucking thing to HTML - like netscape's view source used to do.... there must be a program like that out there somewhere... maybe i should just fucking program one)

                      cheers,

                            Mayor575,

Your Site Kicks Ass!!! I like the mellow jazzy beat too, adds a real touch of class.

                            As for editors.
K-edit in KDE rocks... or Gnotepad in Gnome for editing... Unfortunately Im only on WinBlows again.

The fucked up thing is, I learned HTML on notepad way back in '97. The only book I bought was html for dummies, The Quick pocket reference.

Now, I'm trying to learn on GoLive5, Dreamweaver4 Ultradev, and Flash4. I find that it's 10 times harder with these programs than in notepad.

All the links come out all fucked up. All the pages that I upload have a link to my harddrive, nothing fucking works, the designs don't transfer to the web exactly how I build them.

It makes my code 3 or even 4 times longer, than if I did it in Notepad.

To change just the font size, face, and color, it uses thre font tags instead of just one. Thus increasing my file size, and in turn increases my bandwidth. It adds up.

Until I can figure out those programs, I'll just stick with my simple easy to use Notepad.

                                  Thanks Cam!

The redesign took alot of thought and time.

As always if anyone has any questions regarding design or marketing please do not hesitate to ask. Believe me if I don't have the answer I can definately find who does
