    Starting Own Server

Can someone direct me to some resources on running my own server? I'm looking for info on the flatout basics, typical costs, et cetera of such an endeavor. Would hosting only my own sites be cost effective or would hosting and freehosting other sites be necessary? My partners and I are considering renting some "creative space" in Santa Monica, CA from which to operate and I was curious what it would take to run a server out of there. Anyway, if someone can point me in the right direction for info related to this topic, a big "thank you" in advance!

bandwidth thats what you're basiccly paying for. Theres tiered bandwidth and burstable. I suggessted to start off with tiered bandwidth and upgrade bandwidth from there. One of my buddies does this kinda stuff. If you need his email and stuff lemme know. Maybe he has plans cheaper than what you've found.
