I prefer a simple look/feel for a site design as opposed to a more complex and/or 3D style look. Both have their place, and do well under different circumstances, such as type of traffic, and target audience. But, I feel that the simple look has more of a universal appeal than the more complex designs.

Like when I go to a site and it has a huge all crazy flash tour, I figure they don't have a lot or good content. Why spend that time to do that when you could be shooting content.

Online... Content is "King". So, a design should "showcase" your content, rather than cover it up. If you find a site that has a tour, and your focus is on the design of the tour, some red flags should start flying. It would typically indicate that:Originally posted by GrimShawn

2. The site owner is attempting to cover up their lack of content.
