Need Hosting for 10 Servers (!)

A company with a site network incuding several thousand domain names is currently looking for an adult host. They asked me if I could help.

From what I understand, they need seven servers immediately, and they'll be needing three more in the next couple of months. I asked for a list of their requirements, but instead of receiving bandwidth estimates, Windows or Unix servers, etc., they sent me several drawn-out diagrams and explanations of 'phases' that didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. So if anyone here has any specific questions I can put to them, please don't hesitate. I can tell you that they're developing with PHP/MySQL and I think they're expecting a considerable amount of traffic. I'd like to start a dialogue with an adult host who believes they can give these guys a great deal, based of course on the amount of business they're bringing.

I'd also like to find a little place for hosting about a dozen names of my own, most of which have no site. I have two or three incomplete sites that I'd like to play around with, and obviously I don't have any traffic for those yet. They just need some room to grow in (think of the good deal you could give me for this as a 'finder's fee'). ;)

So, I'm looking for a special price for:

    - 10 (7 + 3) servers, for the company
    - 1 mini server, for me

(I'd like to move fast on this though before they commit themselves somewhere else)

    Thanks!
    Dylan

Let me apologize for leaving you all hanging. I just don?t exactly know what's going on - and it's bugging me too. I was planning to get some real news of the situation to give everyone, but it's still up in the air. It?s been one of those hurry-up-and-wait games that people play with you sometimes. Not that you care, but I?ve also gotten the impression that the 'systems engineer' guy working at the company asking me to broker this deal might have thrown in his wrench when he realized he might be missing an opportunity to get carried around on everyone's shoulders. He's been very friendly with me and extremely unhelpful, and I'm thinking those mixed signals may be pointing to hidden political motives. My theory is that it?s all a conspiracy... (ok, here I?m kidding).

I did give him the list of people on this board that I'd gotten emails from or had contact with, handed over the notes I'd taken, told him to let everyone know that he was picking up from where Dylan left off, and a few weeks ago he assured me he would be in touch with you all. He hasn't been? Hm. He?s getting back from somewhere at the end of this week, and I'll be asking him what?s up, but that?s the best I can do for now?

                    Cheers!

Okay, the dry spell is over, and a decision is in the making. I just sent an email out to everyone who replied to my post with the final hosting configuration needs, and I'm looking forward to hearing back from all of you.

                        Happy Holidays!!
