you might also want to check out www.bungie.com or a gaming forum. i'm surprised you didn't get verbally raped for posting this. good luck with the game.

yea, i would have assumed that this sort of thread would have brought a great deal of verbal assault that would have ended up with me knocking on peoples doors

Prehaps you could post your computer specs?

I have never played the game but this is a problem that usually happens from two things:

#1 Overheating. Place your hand inside the open computer while the game is running. Does the air comming off the CPU feel like it could burn toast? If so buy a better heat sink and fan for the CPU then get a good auxilary fan to blow that hot air out of the case and into your room. Makes a great space heater.

#2 Crappy power supply. If your CPU, graphics card, drives and memory are all running at their peak, you may be experiencing a brown or black out to the CPU, BIOS or memory. Any of which would cause your computer to forget where it is...

i check my temp upon startup. the cpu is in the 100's farenheit area...

and the case being a little cooler...

i run a AMD 2000 athlon XP with a 9200 ATI video card...
the cpu has some little aluminum heat sink, i am looking into getting an all copper one

the case has this aux fan on the side panel and another one above of the pci cards

i am considering on upgrading the power supply and heat sink, you know, do it once do it right, the case was on sale when i got it, maybe it has a hand me down power supply standard....

thanks for the help, btw. my AIM screen name is slimeball5point0
