    403 Forbidden error on .htacces

    Hey!

Can anyone think of why one would get a '403 Forbidden' error with an .htaccess protected member's area?

Well, posting your htaccess and apache configuration would be helpful, but off the top of my head, there could be plenty of reasons depending on your setup.

If you're using htaccess for password authentication (assuming you're using the correct user/pass), you might not be pointing to the correct password file, permissions might not be correct on the files, your host might not have given you any "AllowOveride AuthConfig" permissions or what not. A lot of stuff could go wrong.
