    Domain Hijacked

I just had one of my domains hijacked. Some jackass got into my e-mail account and approved the transfer of my domain over to him. Has anyone had this happen?? If so, any suggetions on what I should do next. I've contacted both the previous register ( the one I registered it with ) and the new one ( the one it was moved to)

    I hate dishonest fucks.

    Thanks

Do a whois on your domain and put your lawyer onto the case. (or just tell them you do). By the way, I don't see how they could hijack your domain without your registrar password.

I'm stumpted too. This individual did his homework and wanted the domain bad. He logged into my register.com account and started the transfer. I Talked to register.com and they stated the transfer request was sent from the admin area. Not only that, got into my e-mail account ( I was using a yahoo.com account ) and verified the transfer.

I wouldn't believe it if it didn't happen to me.

This happened to me 4 years ago when I was at the ia2000 in Vegas. I had to send NetSol a fax signed that I was the owner and it was stolen. Within 20 minutes of me sending the fax, my domain was back under my control.

Thank God the Venetian had fax machines in the room.
