how does a newb get started? Good question.

I can think of a few things I would do if I suddenly lost all my domains, etc. But how do I explain that to a newb?

If you have money you can start a traffic trade site. The money is to buy traffic, and with that traffic you talk other webmasters into exchanging links with you. After working it for a while, you can drop the purchased traffic and just leverage your trades for more trades. Skim a bit of that traffic to yourself (not right away) and you're in business. But this assumes that you have a clue about how to run a trade site.

Another method might be to create a product of some sort, then get affiliates to sell it for you. That's a huge undertaking, costs bucks, and there are so many ways you can fuck up it's not funny. Not recommended unless you're a natural internet marketer.

You could make tgp galleries for traffic. Intense competition for that traffic, your galleries must be top notch just to be listed. Basic method is: create a gallery, host it on a "free host" (free hosts will host your gallery free, but they put links on your pages, thus taking some of your traffic for themselves), have at least one link on the gallery that leads to you or your sponsor. Low cost of entry but that's exactly why competition is so tough. You need to really understand lots of stuff before you can eek out a paycheck against all that competition.

I feel sorry for newbs. If I wasn't solidly established I'd rather work at MacDonalds than start an adult biz now.

even with galleries...
and if you took a look at the main board, you've probably seen that some big changes are perhaps coming soon
( credit card companies doesn't like the porn biz )

anyway, it requires a lot of dedication and efforts...
in 1996 you could be doing it and earning a couple of thousands within a month from start ( no, I wasn't a webmaster at that time )...

as far sponsors are concerned, the most reputable are Gamma Cash, Maximum Cash, Nasty Dollars and especially
ADULT REVENUE SERVICE , better known as ARS, one of the most innovative sponsors, with lots of programs, lots of sites and the best and most friendly webmaster support..
( this is really important, f.e if you have a question, you'll get an fast and comprehensive answer and won't have to send the same email few times before you get a 1 sentence reply, because you're a newbie, thus not important for the sponsor )...

What you gotta know about click thru programs is that you won't be paid unless they click on anything. Alot of the click thru sponsors also have ratios. That means you gotta make a sale for every number of set clicks.

Go with an installer instead you'll be making .15 cents worry free. All someone has to do is click yes to Free Amateur Porn and you have 15 cents.

Go with Gamma Cash: There one of the biggest sponsors and always pay on time. They have the XXX Toolbar where you can make serious cash. They also have tons of free hosted galleries on their reality sites.

Most people need to buy traffic to get started. You can't trade without a traffic source. The bought traffic is used to feed your trades. When your trades grow you stop buying traffic and live off of your trades.

But don't buy traffic until you have your site up and running with an efficient trade script.

You don't understand. The free host only hosts your gallery. You still have your own site and your own domain. Owning your domain is so basic I forgot to say it. If you're not doing TGP galleries you don't need a free host.

I don't use CJ, but isn't CJ a traffic trade script, too?

The idea several of us have been trying to explain is that YOU will build a trade site. Yes, there are lots of trade sites out there, but build yourself one, too.

I grabbed this from my other thread. Hope it helps
The best way to make easy, recurring cash is to create a CJ(with at least 50% content). I'll even put into steps.

1. Buy your own domain
2. Create a 1 page thumb preview tgp/like page. Follow all of the standard rules( no popups, consoles, etc)

3. Create a template with about 36-48 thumbnails previews. Size your thumbs to about 120x120 pixels(will reduce bandwidth). Join a sponsor with tons of hosted galleries.

4. Run your trade script to skim at high percentages. Remember your main goal is to get traffic.

5. Important this is how you make your cash. Look at my sig and signup. The program pays 17 cents for blind links. All the user has to do is say yes to a vague "I am 18 or older prompt" and you get paid.

6. Have one blind link which leads to this program for every 6 thumbnails. Also mark the thumbnails with the words "Video" or "Movie". This will differentiate the blindlinks from the normal links. So if you have 48 thumbnails you should have 8 thumbnails that say video spread across your site.

7. Trade with as many sites as you can and watch your income grow.


Tips:
1.Pick the Babe Niche. Lots of sites to trade with.
2.Try to stay away from General TGPs
3. Only trade with Thumbnail Preview Sites
4. Follow your trades rules.
5. Trade with sites that have consoles by creating a mirror of your site.
6. Look into free hosting: Will significantly reduce your overhead.
7. Read all of your sponsors "Terms of Service" .

Important: Starting up

When you first start off buy about 25K worth of decent traffic. Then immediately sign up to trade with about 30-40 sites. Trade by productivity. Your trades should grow.

And There you go. You'll have a 50k site in no time at all

Yes, its safe to give your SS# to your sponsor when you signup. The only thing you have to worry about is being taxed

They don't take your money. You make everything in your sponsor stats(with a few exceptions).

But if you make a large sum of money make sure to file it with your taxes as if it were your real job. Just ask for a W2 form from your primary sponsors before tax time.

1. A Console is a popup. Examples: Entrance Console, Exit Console. It doesn't count as a console if somebody clicks on something and it pops in a new window.

2. You've seen the TGPs with the hundreds of galleries with descriptions and stuff right? A thumbnail preview site instead of having text has thumbnails instead(remember that saying a picture is worth a thousand words?)

3. Sponsor hosted Galleries: Yes they host the galleries themselves. How do you make sales then? Each gallery has your affiliate ID built in.

Hotlinking: You can't hotlink the pictures directly. You link to a certain page which has a premade gallery template with all your affiliate codes built in.

The XXX Toolbar: Just signup with Gamma Cash either Partnership or Per Signup and you'll get to promote XXX Toolbar as well as most of there programs.

When someone clicks on a thumb it will usually lead to a gallery. You can add a script so a percentage of the clicks will go to a trade or sponsor instead.

So if you skim 50%. Half will go to trades and the other half will go to galleries.

You had the thumb preview site right?

Trade with sites that also have thumb previews. If you try to trade with sites that just have text the productivity of your traffic will be very low(usually). Therefore they won't send you as much as you send them.

Trade with as many sites as you can. As long as it doesn't slow down your script. I've seen people with hundreds of trades.

Always trade by productivity. This will help your site to grow. Also this is a good way to stop cheaters. If you get a site sending you 10,000 uniques a day but 1% productivity thats really just 100 uniques a day. Therefore it wouldn't be good to trade with them. Your just wasting bandwidth. Either he's cheating you or his visitors simply aren't interested in your site.

Start removing sites when they stop sending you traffic for 24 hours. Remove sites that have an extremely low production rate.

Yes, text link would work. I'd recommend you build a hybrid though.

Put 4-12 Thumbs at the top of you tgp. This will make your TGP more versatile because people are more likely to click on pics than text. Having only a few select thumbs will also save you alot of bandwidth, have more galleries but at the same time you'll be able to somewhat hold your own against thumb TGPs.
