    Need Cheap Virtual Hosting

This isn't for me .. my mom needs some hosting for a domain so she can put junk on ebay and link images and stuff. There are so many places for hosting, and I have trouble finding a good place. So basically cheap as possible she wont use much space or transfer, and a place that has a web interface would be ideal since she will have trouble grasping FTP programs.

So spam me with some good places, lots of the cheapest places I have found are just kids running rackshacks and what not, which are ok for the price, however I don't want to have to move her to a new host every 5 months, because they decide it is to much work and shut down.

    Hi Thekebie,

Take a look on VibeHosting.com - we have a 50MB space, 5GB transfer account, cPanel control panel (arguably the best) and all of its features for $3.95 a month.

We try to make ourselves available as much as possible, we also have a 30 day money back guarantee, but I'm sure she won't be disapointed.

You can also contact me for custom deals.

You shoulda just checked your ISP. I use AOL and Roadrunner for all my hotlinking needs.
I've trusted my sites to them for over a decade...

              Webair, bitches.

Yeah she used to hotlink with her old ISP account, which is what I do. But she didn't like the fact her new internet (which is a badass 10Mbps fiber optic connection) would list directories if there was no index file as some stupid security measure. They wouldn't even do it after I phoned saying it would have to be server wide to change it.

Do they have AllowOverrides turned on in Apache so that you can use Options -Indexes in her .htaccess file to turn the auto directory indexing off? or is her ISP even using Apache/unix servers?

try this in an .htaccess file:

                    Options -Indexes
