It is better to host the videos on your own site server. For example, you do not need to worry when the video that you embed goes down/offline.

Hosting your own videos will make your site look much more legit. But its expensive, your margins will be thin. And its hard to get millions of videos and compete with pornhub/xvideos/etc.

If you embed a lot of people will notice what you are doing and think your site is shady. But your profit margins will be amazing.

In theory you'll have better seo hosting your own content but in practice its hard to compete with the quality/quantity of content on pornhub/xvideos/etc.

Personally I make a lot of money embedding, and the economics of self hosting scare me. But there's lots of money to be made either way if you're technically savvy.

Hosting is not that expensive either. Nowadays dedicated servers with unlimited bandwidth are more affordable than ever.

I use Hubtraffic, xhamster partner program, and TubeCorporate. Embed their videos on your site but occasionally redirect users to the video on the site its being hosted on. You get paid for that traffic.

Also yeah, banners and popunders.
