Stupid error which I can't fix.

I have a new dedicated self managed server. I'm unsure what the problem is but I cant't verify domains with Google webmaster tools or other programs like juicyads.
It says can't connect to server.

I've tried html copy and paste and file upload to verify. I've scoured forums and tried most of everything.

Any help? I've never had this issue.

Do you have some kind of firewall installed on server ?

Firewall, not that I know of. This is a self managed server from OVH.

The issue is when I try to verify my sites through Google console with HTML file or upload file to website; it says it's unable to verify my property...
Then verification failed we were unable to connect to server. I've looked around to see if I've blocked Google bot, but I'm trying other places like Clickadu and same crap.

          Sorry for the simple questions:

          1. Ist your site reachable (via browser)
          2. Have you reachable .html documents (or only .php)
          3. Is the CHMOD for your verification-file 644
          4. Have you load the verify-file to your document root

Hey, the site and sites on the server are able to accessed. And by the way the server is a fresh 1 month old running Centos 7.

Html files are able to be accessed. I made an html file and accessed it through browser and it was ok.

I use cPanel and the permission is 644.

I've uploaded it to site / public_html and then the first folder on cPanel.

Since like 2012 when I first started this--this was simple and really never had a problem this elementary. From Hostgator, Digital Ocean, OVH it's been easy. But, like I said this server is one month old.

Can you access the google verification file through your browser?

              or is it
              http://www.yourpornsitehere.com/googlerr1444444.htm

or is your site using SSL?

              Anything in robots.txt?

edit: should be available from your naked domain.

have you tried to verify your site with meta tag? I am 100% sure, Juicyads and Google Webmaster both allowed to verify site through meta tag.

Do not check robots.txt setting, it is not necessary.

From Google Webmaster Tools, use Fetch and Render tools, and paste out the result here.

                  Yep. I've done http://site.com/Google and http://www.site.com/google and

And the thing is plugrush verified with the html tag. It's damn Google. Let me ask this. Is it normal to have to do "I'm not a robot captcha" while verifying site? I mean I have changed browsers trying to verify etc.

Sorry man. I have no idea. Bump for you.

I have done google verification in the past and have it not work immediately, And checked back later and it was verified. But I am sure you have checked back already. I think the most wait time is 24 hours on that.

Thanks anyway. I've had it not verify and retry later and work.. I just don't know. I think I'm over saving money by self managing my servers and vps to where I could spend a little more and get something worthwhile with support.

If that is the root directory (where your site index-file is), than

You can also check this: Is your IP blacklistet or have you Malware/Virus on your server.

To verify your domain for Google ist not a problem. You can do it via your DNS settings (TXT Record).
