    Ssl ???

Today my server told me that was added "Let's Encrypt" Let's Encrypt - Free SSL/TLS Certificates. A free open source ssl certificate.

I Googled a bit, an ssl certificate seems good and right thing. Matt says, the google algorithm considers him and maybe puts a bit higher up the sites that use it. Google is also a sponsor of Let's Encrypt.

But Googling a little longer, I saw that, the biggest adult sites do not seem to use ssl ...

So, considering it was free, SSL yes, or SSL not ???

Last thing, my sites are online for some years, I would say "good" indexed. Adding ssl, and changing all the http to https, risk of creating some trouble?

    Yes, it could cause trouble.

There have been mixed results. I changed over to https at the end of December and immediately lost all of my good ranking results. I waited a week or 2 and then dropped back to the http and managed to get my results back mostly. They are still bouncing some. Don't know if it was from the https or not.

Other people have switched and seen their results move with them or shortly thereafter.

My suggestion would be that if you do not have anything that needs https protection (forms with personal info input) then DO NOT switch.

If you do decide to change it out then make sure you have a good backup ready to drop back to.

Good luck no matter which way you go.

I'm sorry for your bad experience.

and for a new site? it is worth start with https?

I read, https makes the page to load slower.

Are more SEO the speed or https?

https is only going to be one of hundreds of factors that go towards your rank. Therefore, keep that in mind when considering whether it's really worth it.

Its a bit of both page speed and SSL , I didn't switched any of my old websites to https but I instaled ssl certificates on some new websites and on some of them I already get few clicks from google even they are new and with not backlinks pointing to them !

Isn't ssl only if you have login etc. on page and some content worth it?

Were you made thoughts about DC? Sites, which links too http an Google index now with https. Could have impact on the ranking.

I did a quick test on this site Big Butts Hard Pics | Big butts, Bubble butts, 40+ inch butts,, online for a couple of days.

ssl firefox icon says, some of the contents of this website are not safe (images).

I use external images with relative address, then I fear it is completely unnecessary for my sites.
For now I do not think I've ever seen sites that provide images in https.
