    Tech question: Suspuciously high bandwidth

    Hi guys,

I have my own VPS and usually I have around 4-8GB of bandwidth per day. But then there are days when it skyrockets like crazy to like 40GB or even more per day. I have stable traffic with no extraordinaries. Last time this happened someone was using my VPS to send spam so we blocked those IP addresses. But now I just can't figure out what's going on and hosting support doesn't help me at all. I am no tech guy so I don't know for what should I look. Could you give me some advice? Thanks!

Check logs. Anything unusual in access legs? Hotlinking? Search engine spiders? Assuming Linux, does "ps aux" show any unusual processes or an unusual number of processes?
    I like pie.

I think I checked mail logs and it seems fine. I also find some access logs but there is so much data... I don't know how to check hotlinking. I don't work with Linux at all. I think that "ps aux" shows ordinary processes, there's like 20 times "/www/vapache/<my_vps_name>/bin/httpd -f /www/vapache/janzelinka/conf/httpd.conf"
