Template help....PLEASE!!!

I am having some trouble coming up with template ideas! I am not very creative right now. I know that this is the wrong business to be in if your not very creative. Generally, I am! Just having some trouble with a new site that I want to make.
The general theme of the site is something of a political nature, but not just that. I have a lot of great stuff that I want to share. I just don't know what kind of design I want to use. I have Photoshop 7.0, Macromedia MX ver.6 with all the trimmings. These are very good programs, I know. Just, I need help trying to put together a template.
If anyone has any good ideas, urls, suggestions...ect, please contact me and/or reply to this thread!
