    Image Hosting

    Hi,

I'm sure this has been discussed before but it's always changing and hard to search for because so many other threads talk about images or hosting. I am not so much an adult webmaster as someone with erotic websites & mp3s that wants to get more traffic, and so I am hoping to do a blog alongside one of my sites that uses some affiliate photos and videos. I don't so much expect to make big bucks from affiliate sales themselves as to just have an added draw to the site, but I do want to properly link to all the photos/etc. just in case I do make some added cash. Also, I don't want to use any photos illegally and the affiliate content is a good way to go.

My question is with hosting the images. Since this is just for one blog and not going to be hardcore doing porn sites here, I'm trying to find an affordable solution. Many of the free image sites don't allow copyrighted content, which of course the affiliate stuff is, and I have a shared hosting plan so I don't want to use too much file space or bandwidth of my own (if I end up making more later, I'd of course invest in something more dedicated, but right now trying to keep it a bit more simple).

I am wondering if there is a good image hosting site that one can use for affiliate photos and hotlink to? And it does NOT need to be free. One site example is filefap having a premium section at a monthly rate, but I am having trouble using Paxum to pay for their services.

If anyone has any advice for this, I'd be greatly appreciative.

we would have the right solution for you, your own ssd cloud server with 1 gbps connection. We cloud setup your server in a way you can pull all the images from your. These server are light weight but extremely fast. With our basic support you will spend no more than 14 bucks per month. Enough space and bandwidth to host your images. You can also use our free control panels like isp config or zpanel to host any other sites on your server.

Where do you host your sites? Why not put the images there? Using a free image host is completely silly. You can pick up a cheap shared hosting account for just a few bucks a month and host your images there.

Use CloudFlare to save on bandwidth.

Just get a decent shared or VPS hosting account and use Cloudflare to save bandwidth, you won't have any problem.

I have a plan with hostgator. Perhaps it is silly, I just got nervous being unfamiliar with how much bandwidth such a blog might start to take up down the road.

Thanks for the recommendations to check out Cloudflare as well. Again this hasn't been my primary area, so learning as I go and even though I don't visit regularly, do definitely appreciate forums like this and all of you willing to be so helpful.

I double-checked, and I probably do have more than I think

                Current usage...
                170.64 MB /20,000MB
                8927 /100,000(Files)

So, as long as just small pics, probably should be okay. Videos might be a different story if not an embed from the sites directly, but perhaps won't worry about that for now. Eventually I'd need something with more files & MB but perhaps not to start.

I am curious about sites like imgbox.com though?

How many visitors do you have? 20GB is really quite a bit, especially when you're first starting out.

The month is ending and you have used less than 1% of your bandwidth so nothing to be worried about. Still use Cloudflare, it will help in the future if you get more traffic.

For videos you will need to get a VPS with decent amount of bandwidth. The one in my signature costs only $5/month

I have a multi-site plan as I already have a couple small sites up and am branching out. It is whatever the standard lowest plan is they have for having more than one site. The biggest site right now is not a porn site, though it's traffic was higher in January and February as I had more new content those months then this month as I've been focused on building the content for the new site more this month. Don't think I have anything to brag about, just getting used to how much photos and such start taking up file space.
