    plugrush help

well, sorta plug rush help . My tumblr out of the blue started showing plugrush ads via pop up windows. Since I didn't install any plugrush ads I am going to guess and say I was hacked and/or have an exploit going on. As I am looking through my html code on my blog theme, what code would I be looking for to remove?

also, would someone from plugrush maybe be willing to help me and we can track down the affiliate doing this shady marketing so they don't get money from their dirty tricks?

They have support system. Did you try explaining in detail there first?

no, thought I'd try here first but that is a good idea so maybe I will touch base with them and explain the situation and see if they are willing to help

ok, sent plugrush an email but while I wait for them to get back to me, if anyone has run into this or knows how to fix it then please let me know. Hate to get my tumblr banned because of this.

bump, anyone? also displaying ads from ero-advertising. I don't see any ad code per se in the html so has to be some kind of script that is inserting the various companies advertising. Anyone run into this or could tell me what kind of things to look for to remove?

Did you download a theme/template from somewhere? If so the person who made it may have inserted something into the code.

no, just used a free theme provided by tumblr. Actually I switched to another free theme to see if that would help but same thing happens.

http://hornytgirl.tumblr.com/ is the blog url. If you click on some of the pics then sometimes it is fine and other times ads come up. So far as I know there is no other malware going on. As a last resort I could get in touch with tumblr and ask them if they would be willing to fix it. Just hate to do that with how tempermental they can be about adult. I could write them for help and the next thing I know my blog is closed down.

Maybe that your computer is the problem? Did you check that you're not actually infected with hijackers or malwares yourself?

Did you try to clean your own computer? Do you have a good and up-to-date antivirus?

I tried 20 pictures and didn't get any ads.

yes, seems to have been corrected. I reached out to tumblr yesterday evening and I believe the ads are gone. I have clicked numerous posts this morning and am seeing no ads. So cautiously optimistic at the moment although tumblr has not wrote me back saying they did anything. Keeping my fingers crossed

well, spoke to soon. Seeing ads after all. Not sure if this is correct but when I click my posts I see no ads but when I click the posts I am reposting from other tumblrs then the ads seem to come up. Weird.

ok, so think I may have figured this out....maybe. When I repost other peoples posts that have some blank boxes under them, if I hold my curser over them I see a url that starts with on windows load and goes on with some ad html. My posts don't have that and if I reblog other peoples posts that don't have those blank boxes then there is no ads either.

So now not sure if it is something on my tumblr or other people who are reposting and just unaware that these pop ups have attached themselves to their posts.

not sure if that makes sense or quite how to explain it but I think I have finally found a way to stop having these ads show up on my blog by double checking the code of the posts I am reblogging from other tumblrs. So far this morning it is working and I have no other ads since I discovered that.

I deleted that publisher so the ads should be gone. We won't allow these kind of methods.
