    Fireworks 6 - HTML Slice

    Hello everyone!
    My name is Jeffrey and I am in need of a little help here. I am using FW Verison 6.

    I am trying to do 3 HTML Slices on one page (frame). When I put a slice in and copy and paste the code that is to go there, I get some "weird" things happening to my graphics. I seems to split the page in areas whenever I do a preview.

    I thought, "why not see if something else might happen if I "FTP" the thing as is?" So I did! I saved, exported, then "FTPed" the whole dam file after making a new PNG with just the first frame on in a PNG file, no other frames. I have 2 html slices on this page and still getting the problem.

    As you should be able to tell, I am new to MacroMedia MX Studios if you look in my profile here. If you dont want to reply here, you can email me [email protected]. I also use 4 chat mediums that I think should be listed in my profile.

    Thanks for any and all help that you can share!
    Jeffrey
    Thanks!

    In FW 6 you don't copypaste, you export the slices & HTML. A little step by step:

    1) Create image with all image slices
    2) Goto File -> Export
    3) In the Save as type, chose HTML and Images

    Then you just select the filename you want to use and you can open it up in dreamweaver or what now, ya know! Oh yea, make sure it is JPEG that you export as for the Image!

      Sorry, but I am looking to add HTML text to a slice. Not an IMAGE.

      Thanks for responding!
