Pop ups enable free sites to have more chances for a sale.

Your killer makes this more difficult and therefor sponsors may be forced to pay less.
Your program makes it more difficult for free sites to generate enough income.

Conclusion your program steals food out of the mouths of hard working webmasters

Another side effect will be that somebody will eventually come up with more agressive ways to shove ads in peoples faces.
