Youtube earnings

Can anyone tell me what sort of earnings they get from Youtube per 1K views?

The reason I ask is because I just went to upload a vid to youtube for the fist time in ages when I noticed one of my videos has......... ALMOST 6.4MILLION VIEWS!!!

Thanks, that was exactly my guess actually 2-5K. God dammit.

Also I didn't mention I don't actually own rights it's just a surfing video I uploaded but it hasn't been flagged as copyright in over a year since it was uploaded, so is it just a matter of creating a dupe adsense account to start collecting?

I was getting partner requests, lots of them but the video in question was below 10k at that stage and because I don't own the rights I ignored them and they eventually stopped coming. Actually I'm pretty sure I was getting requests even before I uploaded that video.

Maybe I'm wrong but they haven't flagged in over a year so I'm thinking they wouldn't have suspended it. Or maybe they do extra checks once you put adsense on it but I don't think so.

Also, the account now has over 400 subscribers so If someone can gimme a pointer for making money from them I'd appreciate it. I guess I just go make cat videos and upload them?

If your going to apply for revenue you better do it now, because it's a LONG process. I think it took almost 2 -3 months after being accepted for google to start counting and embedding adds!
