Starting from Scratch : noob diary

Hello everyone. After reading a noob post diary. I was motivated to share my progress with you all. Its a sham that the other poster never updated. Maybe it is foreshadowing for me, but we all learn from experience and if anything even if I fail at IM i will at least learn something new. Hopefully not loose a crap load of money to learn something.

About me: I have been in the Adult industry for about 5 year now. Been a webcam model and also made fetish videos that are pretty popular in some niches. I first signed up in the form to learn about SEO so that I could promote my own website with my own models. After reading through the threads I thought it would be smart for me to put efforts in IM for other sites and see if my skills are good enough so I dont invest in my own porn site with cu$tom content . . If I cant make money as an affiliate how the hell will I make money with my own site?

So this is where I am at. I have a few domains right now, Im thinking of focusing on tranny porn. Not sure if I should find a niche in tranny porn.

Feel free to comment and criticize me. If Im able to turn some profit im sure this will be helpful for the next noob. :D

Goal for the week:
1. Have at least 1 site up fully ready with Wordpress (hosted on my dreamhost account)
2. Have 2 TGP sites linking to my main site. (will be hosted on my hostgator account)
3. have at least 20 days worth of blog posts ready for future posting. ( I would like to have this every week and have at least 60 posts a month ready for future posts)
4. Have at least 1 promo video ready

MY goals:
1 month: build up at least 50 unique hits per day
3 months: have at least 500 unique hits per day , 3 main sites 12 branch sites
6 months: have at least 1200 unique hits per day, keep 3 main sites and 20 branch sites
1 year: at least make $300 per month and have at least 2k unique hits per day

**maybe these goals are too small or too big, im new so I guess as time goes on I will be able to tell if my goals are too little or too big.

Like everyone else suggested Im not going to read as much info as I can on IM ; I am jumping into it and not trying to learn everything. Just learn as I go.

I feel like noob now :-D I made my first $300/m after 2 years and few months. I know that some people in adult make tons of money in affiliates, but I never had luck with that. For me ad networks work best.

To me, it sounds like you have the right mindset, thanks for sharing!

Humble cheap tip:
->Now that you have the high motivation energy, use 20 minutes to write down a bulleted list of WHY you are doing this. Then put it in a drawer. When times will come (they always do) that you lose motivation because things are hard etc, go back to the list and redouble the efforts :-)

Thank you guys for the support. I have a 4 page business plan already. I didnt want to bore you all with it and take up like 100 pages of space writing it in.

I still do the web cam and videos . That is my full time job of 5 years so I have lots of time on my hands. Instead of being a part time side job this will have about 5-6 hours a day or more put into it.

The $300 a month goal in a year is a low estimate because I have no idea what potential there is and how saturated the market is.

Once I get my site up the way I like in a week. I will update you all on my progress. Thanks again.

Any good affiliates for TS? Let me know. Im researching right now. I have noticed there are a ton, is there a trusted review site for affiliates?
