    Web Host

    Hey Guys,

I am looking for a great web host for adult sites. I went with one that was suggested on here (AmeriNoc). But I found out today they do not allow video conversions or thumbnail conversions. That blows b/c my tube script needs this. Just throw some out there if you could.

    Thanks

Not trying to be a dickhead but how did you found Amerinoc not allow video conversions? Did you tried to contact them via email and ask them directly ?

What traffic do you expect? isprime, yellowfiber if you are serious, they host many big tubes.

OP is looking for a great host for a tube site. HG is ok for a blog with no traffic.

You need a vps or dedicated. No virtual account is going to suit you.

Not sure why everybody recommends amerinoc, the prices are pretty high.
                    https://www.amerinoc.com/dedicated.php

$400 for a medium server with only 30TB bandwidth.

                    https://www.100tb.com/order/1899

Highly recommended, half the price, triple the bandwidth of amerinoc.

Edit: Nevermind, seems amerinoc is managed.

Yes I contacted them and they replied that they do not allow video or thumb conversions. Now I am on a shared account at the moment. I dont see spending huge amounts of money at first for web hosting when I am in a building stage (you lose money). The goal is to create the site(s) then traffic then switch over to dedicated server once traffic becomes respectable.

Ill check the other sites you guys suggested and see what I come up with. Thanks for all the input.

If any host allows their virtual customers to use ffmpeg, I'd stay away from them. A single user can hog nearly all of the cpu time, imagine what would happen when the server is oversold like most hosts do. To allow ffmpeg (or any other video conversion program) would just be irresponsible on the host's part.

You need a VPS for what you want to do. It has nothing to do with your traffic but the resources you're going to be using to run your site.

Agreed with the comments you need to go with a VPS for this. Your resource needs demand it.
