Wordpress blog link exchanges

Hi

I was wondering if someone could help me out. I just started a blog and was wondering if it was possible to create link exchanges and if there was a program out there that i could use for this? You can view my blog at www(dot)gaybunny(dot)com/blog/

I am very new to blogs and never used it before so any suggestions will help. I want to set up link exchanges with other gay blog sites under my blogroll and wanted to know what the best approach would be.

Thanks for the info. I actually signed up for Linkspun, but for some reason i can seem to figure out why i can't add my url to start trading. Is there something else that i need to do first? I can sign in with my username, but that's about it.

It's been a while since I registered but I think all you have to do is go to 'manage pages' up at the top and add your url in there. Just type it into the page list and choose your categories.

Thanks for the advice, i was looking everywhere for it yesterday and couldn't find it. I will try it out and let you know how it goes.

It works and thanks again for your help. I was wondering if you could explain quickly how it works. Do you simply just press the request trade and wait for a response form the website owner? And if they do want to set up a trade, do you have to manually add the trade into your website?

Yep, that's about it. You should receive an e-mail if the trade is accepted or declined or if someone requests a link from you. There have been times when the e-mail system didn't work so you may want to manually check sometimes too under "requests" or "pending."
You manually add the links and the bot will check the links to verify on both sites and it should constantly keep it verified.

Great advice, i have an error message every time i log in and i'm not sure what it means. I was wondering if you could help me on this. The message says "One or more categories could not be added because each page is limit to 8 categories."

What i did was, add new page: gaybunny(dot)com/blog/

then beside it i selected 7 categories under - Select Categories - Make sure to categorize all your pages, it's how traders find you!

Also, when i go to search i do not see my site, do i need to have trades going first before i can see my site show up?

I just searched and found your site in the system so it's there and ready to go. One thing though, they have separate categories for gay sites and it looks like yours is under straight so you might want to change those. Scroll all the way down on the category list to find the gay categories.

I didn't know there was a max of 8 categories actually.
