Hi

I am fairly new to the industry and gfy, my question is, where do the legal tube owners get their photos for their category page? Do you use sponsor photos? I'm thinking that sponsors would not care as long as you are promoting their video content legally, but their images have watermarks on them and that would look like shit on a category page. There's always the option of purchasing pics, but naturally any other legal method is considered first. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

A simple screenshot of one of the higher quality videos on your tube often does the trick

Yes, Most tube sponsors such as Vidz.com will provide you with everything you need. They have a "tube exporter" which will export the title, sponsor link, tags, description, video link..everything.

There was a big blowup thread a while back about a sponsor getting nitpicky over cropping out watermarks from thumbs but most sponsors don't mind. Read up on each one's terms.

If your promoting a sponsor they would have no problem allowing useage of some photos. We produce so much ourselves it really doesn't matter Drop me a line...
