    Hello everyone! Ad Question!

    Hello Everyone!

My name is Michael and I've just started my first "adult" website. The Website is pretty spartan for now since its only been up 1 week. Anyway I've been experimenting with different Ad companies like AdultAdWorld and Adxpansion and can't say I've been impressed.

Are views have been rapidly increasing, yesterday alone we did around 50k in uv's and over 120k for the week yet I'm making only a few bucks here and there. I do pop-unders, and banner ads. Don't really want to do to much interstitial, frame or pop-up for that would shut me down. I'm getting frustrated maybe I should just sell the pop-under ads $1 CPM and be done with it!?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That doesn't make any sense to me. I'm using juicyads and I'm making a modest amount without having even 10% of your traffic. How many clicks are you getting out of that 120k and what kind of traffic is it - organic or bought?

Oh its all free - 60% bounce rate. Average time on site 1.60 minutes. That's seems good to me AdultAdworld doesn't tell me clicks but on Adxpansion I get 10 or so a day not many. Its 5% search traffic, 18% direct and the rest social networking referrals like twitter and stumble.

If anyone is truly interested I will sell pop-up/pop-under traffic. 100% U.S and Canada Traffic. I can send you a Google Analytics report to back it up. I can only do blocks of a minimum of 10,000 views a day. It will only be one pop-up at any given time on the site so the space is limited. I intend to over deliver. Starting offer is $1 per 1000. So $10 for 10,000 views.

I figure cut the middle man out and we can all benefit. ICQ me to inquire.

Try using different ad types, ad sizes, and most importantly, ad placements. (I assume we are talking about motelanal.com) When I first visit your site, I just see buttons -- that I wouldn't ever click...

The more targeted your banners are (not just your targeting traffic) the better off you will do. "Just any" adult ad won't do -- test it out -- track stats -- and then test some more.

imho, you should never just settle for what you're getting. idk about you, but I always want more -- no matter how much I get, lol.

Good point! The Leaderboared sucks, Its adultadworld or xpansion, not very marketable ads. I just found an Add company offering up to $3.00 x 1000 pop-unders, thats more my style so I'll give them a shot!

What ad company do you have?

I actually manage ads by myself. We have used ad companies before, but they take too much of the cut ... not being greedy, just sayin'

I use google for ... well, for everything. A/B Testing, Analytics, DFP (ad management), and webmaster central to track keywords / any errors we missed. Hell, almost starting a social network on google as well with the "+1" & groups.

Unfortunately, tracking success & failure of ad zones are a bit tricky -- but I do % based in the PHP Code -- then use the _trackEvent for google analytics. Won't give any sure fire way of saying "hey that worked! nice!" but it will give you a whats what on if it was a better position or not.

One bonus on DFP, it can be completely customized -- and will (if you want it to) auto-detect your best performing banners and give them the majority share.

All free, can't go wrong as long as you're willing to do the leg work.

Step 1 for you imho, drop all the ad zones and start from scratch, if it isn't performing it can't hurt anything. There is also such thing as just too many ads

                  Really good advice : )))

Also, did you try optimizing the campaigns on AdX? With the tracking pixel in place, you can eliminate the non-performing sources... just saying.... : ))))

Agreed. ManPuppy uses Juicy almost exclusively, only gets 2000-3000 hits per day, and pays my power bill. Go to my site, click Advertise, sign up, and have fun. (BUMP BUMP BUMP lol)

Welcome to GFY, if you are unsure which ad company would do the best it might be worth trailing a few and positioning them in varying locations on different pages to see what kind of response you are getting back clicks wise in comparison to the impressions the page had.

This might be worth a shot

Welcome to the gfy board. This seems to be a common problem. May be you should test a little bit.
