Monetisation and conversion rates

Hi all,

I'd be interested to hear you monetisation methods and conversion rates through your adult sites. I'm releasing a new site in the next day or 2 which is beautifully simple (I hope ;)) and will aim to monetise it as I build my traffic up.

Listing a few methods out...:

- Ad sales through a network
- Hardlinks/banner sales
- Affiliation with Cams, Dating, Subscription based niche porn sites
- Affiliation with *some sort of fake drug/technique targetting an insecurity*
- Subscription to the site
- Product sales (ecommerce)

What methods do you use? What's the quality of your traffic (recycled, straight from search engines etc..) like and conversions with these methods?

Search engine traffic converts real well and for high traffic web sites try using Juicy Ads.

Awesome - niched search traffic should be a strong point for me. I'll check out Juicy..

Certainly not having ads that piss people off - that seems to be a popular niche itself!!

There is no doubt search traffic is the traffic that you want, providing you're providing something relevant to the people landing on your site.

Monetization is hard to give advice about without knowing the site, one size doesn't fit all in this game.

the only traffic which converts for me is se-traffic.. and yeah that converts like crazy

@AdultKing - of course, it depends on many factors but would like to hear about how others are converting at the mo and what the context of the site is - e.g. most traffic from search engines, targetting 'amatuer teen' niche earning rev from cams and affiliate % to a subscription site..

Hypothetically, if I had 12,000 visits per day 60% search engine and 25% direct targetting a variety of niches - what sort of benchmark revenue would you aim to achieve. Does anyone have similar stats to this scenario?

If anyone can post their: Visits per month (split between search, referrer and direct), revenue per month and revenue methods that would be awesome but understand if you want to keep this to yourself

That would be highly unusual for anyone to do that. And if they do, it always raises the suspicion of it being somehow faked or inflated numbers. Except for those posting 0 signups from 15 000 visitors and asking what's going on.
