I just got an email from one of my sponsors. The email said "Google will be deleting any site with mouseovers from its database, please remove all mouseover asap" I find this hard to believe. Bullshit?

Hey FUCK HEADS, I was asking a simple question concerning an email I got today. Like I said when I posted "i find it hard to beleive.
Here is the email.
Hi Everyone
This is for whowever has not seen it today.
Google has made steps to remove sites within 48 hours if you use mouse
overs
heres an example
a href="Affiliate Link" onMouseOut="window.status='';return true"
onMouseOver="window.status='http://www.*******.com';return true"
Or scrolling text instead of the URL surfers are about to be directed to.
This should be taken as an urgent request to remove if you have it on any
of your pages
Please can you make the changes before the 7th of april
Many Thanks ******Comment

This sounds very odd ..
The only ones i heard who cared about this before were Dmoz.
They won't list anything which uses deceptive mouseovers.Comment

I never read anywhere that google would "ban" sites with mouseovers, but I did read (from a reputable source) that sites with affiliate links that also contain hahahahahahahahahaha "onmouseover" code to hide the target url will get penalized on their page rank.
And the penalty appears to be cumulative, the more links on the page that contain the onmouseover variable, the more severe the page rank penalty.sig too bigComment

No ban but it will certainly be penalized.
Link manager scripts pointing the link to a /cgi-bin will help you out nicely if you are being penalized.Comment
