    Quicktime Getting More Popular?

    I'm noticing more and more adult movie sites using Quicktime.
    How come? Any advantages to using Quicktime? I'm impressed how movies look, presuming they are MPEG-4, but when you enlarge a Quicktime movie it seems to deteriorate much worse than a WMV or MPEG does.
    I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

      I thought the latest version of quicktime IS MPEG-4. Am I wrong?
      SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

          yup it is ... but hell if I know how much better MPEG-4 is than MPEG-1 and 2.

          can MediaPlayer play an MPEG-4 movie and does it have the same .mpg suffix or is it .mp4 or something?

              Quicktime is great... just like all Apple products. The quality is excellent.

                      the format is great!!
                      The only thing that would make it REAL mainstream, was if Mediaplayer would play it - but it cant - yet

                          I use QuickTime on my pay site because the quality is great and it's the format the guy who does my videoclips uses, because he's an Apple fanatic. Still, I do like the look. Were I to switch, I'd switch to AVI, which looks almost as good and the files (for the same clip) are smaller.
