Here's the boo hoo hoo back story.....

I've had NO 'stable income for the last few months and EVERYTHING has either fallen behind or is now shutoff OR on the way to be shut off.

I've spent MONTHS chasing down clients who "want to buy" or have "promised' to buy, OR clients who even have pending invoices to pay me.

Well since I'm here you can figure how well that has worked out so far

So I'm at the end of my rope here, no one seems to be hiring, no one seems to want to pay off their invoices (they also have not gotten any content so it's not like I can bitch too much other then inside rants)

But right now the rent is late (again) cable/internet is shutoff (I'm on wifi via my nice neighbors at the moment) need to pickup the daily essentials like food, TP, Trash bags etc etc and I'm about to loose the lights and heat in the next few days.

I got into a similar situation after the epass prob. I had to go and get a real job to keep things afloat. Its worked very well for me having a stable income and I dont regret it one bit. I am now able to do the things I was planning to do with my sites before it all went down the pan.

Don't know exactly what you mean by "Friends who do contracting type work" I've been looking for anything and everything for awhile now and it seems like either an "outsourced" market or "Dry" market lately.

As for things getting better doing the same, I know that hands down, I've been working on NEW stuff but without the capital I can't get any further with them.

The problems I've been running into mostly is clients just vanishing for weeks / months at a time, they contact me for an order, make the order, agree on price, get payment info and then POOOOOF gone.

Or I have someone contact me for a custom package and then never get back yes or no

Or... they just don't respond at all via ICQ, Emails etc after they say "let me know when you get _______ ready to sell I'll deff take that package when it's ready"

IF I had just HALF my outstanding invoices paid on I'd not only be out of the hole BUT I'd be ahead enough to launch my new projects



As for the others offering me to sell my stuff via their stores / contacts I thank you very much BUT I entered into a deal awhile back that gave exclusive resell rights to one company, only THEY and ME can sell the packages in my store. FUTURE PACKAGES can be sold via multiple stores but right now what I'm selling can't be sold via other 3rd parties without violating my license agreement I made with them and because I'm honest (another reason I'm poor ) I won't break that agreement!

IF and when I get the time to make more packages for sale I will deff contact you guys and put them in your stores and we can split the revenue, I'd make content right now BUT I'm filling an order for someone right now AND I can't justify anymore rendering times with the bills going into shutoff mode, can't render without power.

Exactly why I'm so damn baffled lately I see more and more sites popping up leaning more to the toon side, either via header logos or full blown content and MOST of them are using "OLDER" content, others are using what I would call "Questionable" but I'm not going down that road, not right now at least too much real issues I need to worry about right now lol.

I've offered "CVM" (Custom virtual Models) for the past few years to MANY programs out there, and either "who else has done it so far" "I'll do it for free" "call me next time" are the general responses I get, those who CONFIRM to do it NEVER follow through and turn in the "content" I NEED to create their packages.

This is a no brainer market in all honesty, the surfers BUY access, there's NO "Paperwork" to keep track of, and on a production end there's no "flaking" to deal with lol

All depends what you're looking for, right now I'm finishing up a custom (pre-paid) order for a client and that's going to tie me up for about another 20 days or so (before I can start making new content) I can do other things (non rendering stuff) but for the next 20-30 days my render boxes are spoken for.

I've never priced single images, I normally have only done "sets" 20-30 images per set.

Long story short I have issues here offline and due to new homeland security regs I am finding it next to impossible to get a new license, social security card and birth certificate.

I'm adopted (4 days old) and have NO ACCESS to my documents, and NOW after 9-11 you MUST have "current docs" OR "copies of org docs" in order to get "new docs"

so for example....

Can't get a new license here in Michigan without my social (lost it years ago)

Can't get a social without a birth cert (NEVER had that, been told I can't get one cause my adoption was a "closed case" and they can't release my cert cause it contains "identifying information" IE mother and father's name My parents were given a "redacted" copy but it was destroyed in a fire when I was a child, and from what I've been told the SS office won't honor a redacted document.

So Epass WAS my financial lifeline ALL of my bills were paid via Epass and the one that was not paid via the card (rent) was paid in cash via the ATM card.

After the whole Epass drama NOT being able to be paid, not being able to access money I had to borrow money to stay afloat while I worked on getting a bank account with my "expired stuff" LUCKY for me I live in a VERY small town where ALL the bank people knew me (I used to repair their computers when I had my computer store) so they went ahead and opened a biz account for me but NO OTHER bank will do that for me.

I can't get any Loans, or grants without new docs and I can't get docs without docs, it's a never ending cycle of redtape bullshit IF I wasn't adopted there would be no issues lol.

The lack of current docs have also hurt me from getting a few jobs that ARE avail around town (jobs I'd need to be bonded for for example) and other places just are not hiring at all, (even the fast food joints are "full up")

I've seen a few remote salary jobs on xindustryjobs I've replied but have not heard anything back so far, as well as contacted Ardy at CE, they were looking for someone last week (possible remote) but also have not seen him online or heard back from him yet either.

I totally understand WHY people want in house as opposed to remote workers these days, but I would think (and hope) that with my name and track record someone could take the chance and make an exception and let me work remote.

I guarantee I'd work harder and MORE then anyone sitting in their office 9-5 lol

As for fiverr I've looked at that site a few times, and I've thought about throwing some stuff up there, I'll have to go give it another look or two!

i'm talking offline. there are always guys looking to pay people under the table to do roofing, eves and other stuff like that. if you are so close to not even having electricity, it might be time to get off the computer for a bit.

Ahh offline, I've been looking for almost a year now, no luck with anything, I have some limitations with what I can do labor wise (was in a hit and run wreak years ago never recovered) so I'm not able to do the standard grunt work like roofing, carpentry, landscaping etc I can barely shovel my own walk in the winter without ending up in bed for the next 3 days or loaded up on pills (which I normally REFUSE to take)

As for the lights and heat going down, THAT actually is not a big issue, worst case scenario as SOON as they send the shut off notices (which is still a few weeks away) I just need to take them up to DHS and they will cover those, THAT'S why I pay all these taxes and shit for so that WHEN needed I can get that help.

They just don't/won't help with the rent phone or cable/internet (even though as a self employed person I can't DO my work without the internet they still consider that a "luxury" and not a "necessity"
