Wordpress Question: Is this even POSSIBLE?

Is there a plugin or system where your WP blog's theme refreshes to a random new theme whenever a NEW visitor loads a page/post? Obviously, the theme won't refresh to a new one until the visitor's cookie expires. Fresh new theme with each page/post load might make the site look like an online version of a Carlos Castaneda wet dream.

I'm asking because bounce rate is fast becoming a larger issue and maybe finding the most traffic friendly theme would shave a few points off BR. Obviously, BR is more a function of content quality/the amount of thematic similarity between the referring keyword and actual post the traffic lands on/and a list of other variables. Stupid idea. Would put unnecessary server load on your site.

Concentrate more on developing a decent theme that does not look like it has been outsourced and decent relevant content.

I can understand the concern regarding server load but experience has shown me that theme choice impacts ad clicks as well as content consumption levels. A poster did raise a good point regarding server resources so maybe make the alternating themes lighter?

I might help but you would need a dedicated server just to run a site like this,

possible? yes, it's possible. And if you use light gfx (or no gfx at all) themes the server load won't be noticeable, but the problem I see is you'll confuse the hell out of your visitors, they'll think they've been tricked and redirected to a different site. Instead of that, try working colors and elements position. Sadly, there's no much you can do on a regular blog in terms of shapes, but try to use rounded corners at least, they've a noticeable CTR difference over square shapes

See above. Trying to find the best converting theme for a particular blend of traffic sources. Plus, I suspect bounce rate is going to be bigger factor in SERP analysis in the future (unless crowdsourcing gets a higher priority at Google). See my thoughts on this here.

especially on the part about confusing your visitors. might even increase your bounce rate.

maybe do lite changes....like (not sure if it's adult) randomizing the background image with a different babe on each page change. less load, change is subtle but still interesting and not making the surfer think he hit a whole different site

ya random headers is a good idea. or change the background depending on the sponsor, with repeating bgs

I agree that it might be confusing during the testing phase. Maybe have the theme switching done on a COOKIE basis. Also, add some sort of popup/entry notification regarding the theme testing so people don't flip their wigs.
