Urban drama which is rap? Not anymore. Rap is now people sitting around trying to come up with shit to sell, or shit to get attention...so it will sell. White boys, black folks in suburbia, Mexicans, Chinese...everybody is rapping and TRYING to be urban because they think it looks/sounds hot. Some are better than others and the skill is bringing them out, but thats it. Now its only what it sounds like or how clever it is. Thats all. If you can get somebody with raw talent who is actually from the hood then its just a plus for marketing.
