Fuck YES! My sponsors LOVE that shit! Unless you're talking about gaying it up and just adding a phone number, email address or website. You can do so much with QR codes it's stupid not to utilize the full power of the Q!

What are you using it for and I'll let you know if you're a dumbass or not.

I'm not using it for anything yet.

Was thinking of putting it on the back of my business cards as a vcard or something.

Ok, you're cool and not a dumbass.

They're OK for business cards, just make sure they're printed big enough to be scanned (at least 1/2 the size of the card). I've been using QR codes since their inception but have yet to get a lead that made any money from them. I personally think they're more of a novelty than a practical application. The person already has your business card, why in God's name would they scan it into their smartphone when they could just contact you based on the information printed on your business card? Seems like a waste to me.

I would use them for marketing with ads, impressions, etc. That way you can at least gauge your ROI and test your marketing strategies.

Yes, I print all my cards (1/2 of the back side) with our QR's. And have them on the index of almost all web sites.

I see more and more companies using them in their print ads. Why the hell not, so many people have a smart phone in their pocket to scan them. If I did print advertising I would put them on there.

I brought this up back in 2009, but no one gave a shit. Too ahead of the game at the time I think ;)

I use QR codes... all these people putting emails, address, phone number, even other details - it's a direct marketers dream.

Crawl the 'net, like local pages which almost all have them, read the image in with many various scripts, parse the info, and you have the peoples email, address, and so on.

Toss a flyer in the snail mail, and off you go... entire profile databases can be created, people put alllll types of info in them.

Why am I telling you this? So you can see the truth of what they're being used for and maybe you can jump in too, before it dies off.

..... However I also use them in a golf ebook with the address, phone, ect for each course in the area loaded in the qr code.

I use these because I can change them later, and I get stats.
