Funny how so many affiliates get pissed about the 50 cent sales, the way the biz works, you get a trial and then you wait for the upgrade/rebill which will take place either immediately or a few days down the road. If you don't want the $1 sales and a better chance to make sales, use the no trial link codes.

Why wouldn't you want to know when you got any sale? NATS doesn't consider a rebill a sale so it won't send out notification of the upgrade, so I can't do that.

but seriously in my case, i didn't got mail, but when i checked the sponsors panel i earned 50 cents and i was on pps so i asked to aff. manager about the same and they told me that sale came from phone registration.

no it's just a difference in the time zone set on my servers and the gateway billers postback rebill which is run separately and goes by the gateways reported time, unlike the sales which are set by nats's time on my servers.

I'm not speaking of your program here but we do tend to get pissed if we get fifty cents while there is a $40 pre-checked cross sale on the form or the member's area is loaded with cam and VOD upsells. If you're running a clean program without that stuff then we tend not to get upset. Some still hate it though because of the potential for abuse. How do we know the sponsor isn't emailing the people who didn't convert to a full join again after the affiliate cookie expires and grabbing the sale for themselves? Affiliates now exist in a culture of expecting to be cheated. It's made for a lot of distrust. It's easier to just refuse to send to trials on revshare rather than investigate and have to trust someone.

We don't use crosses or else I would just be a PPS sponsor.

We do upsell in the members area to cams and stuff, but it's not a blind link hard upsell or anything, and the revenue from that isn't enough to cover 1 exclusive content set a month.

As for the trial members, they are either going to convert in 1 day, or not, most who want to upgrade do so within 20 minutes of joining, a small % just forget to cancel, and the percent you can catch months down the road is very small through emailing. No sponsor is making bank emailing expired trial members.

We do everything we can to get anything we can from the trial members, we give resellers credit for all the different attempts at collecting membership including but not limited to the 3 different retention price offers as they goto cancel, the step down rebilling, non-US billing, most sponsors keep that for themselves, I'd say 90% we don't.

Most revengebucks webmasters are used to seeing all kinds of strange sale/rebill amounts ranging like 50 cent trials, $5.84 retention price sales, $11 step down rebills.

As far as I know there's no way if I were (I don't) email trial members months later to give credit to original reseller since NATS doesn't allow me to re-activate old expired members, they would have to signup all over again.
