I need some technical help please!

I'm having a weird problem working with Flash files and I'm hoping someone here can find an answer for me

When I try to upload a flash file to my host it only partially uploads leaving the file incomplete.

I used to be able to do it and then it changed to this. I couldn't figure it out and gave up thinking it was a bug within my computer.
Then I got a new imac, I upgrades to Dreamweaver CS5, Flash CS5 and downloaded the latest version of Fetch for HTP.

I still have the same problem

I can preview the project in flash and it plays perfectly. I can preview it in dreamweaver and it's perfect. I just can't get the files completely up to my server.
I can copy the files to another folder on my machine but when I try to attach them in an email the files are incomplete like they are when they go to the server.

Here's a pic of the file sizes from HD to server and how the page looks after uploading.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I forgot to mention that I can upload any other file including this video as a .mov at 150 MB with no problems.

gotcha... well till you find the issue rename the file to .blabla or something then upload...

if you can upload other types and the size cap isnt issue then this temp fix might help then rename after uploaded see if that works

I gave that a try and the file size ended up the exact same size as before. Incomplete

Make sure your FTP client supports file resuming, make sure the feature is turned on... check if you are uploading in binary mode... may fuck up some things, but typically doesn't have an effect on containered videos such as flvs/f4vs. If it's still not working, since it appears you are outputting to an flv that is basically just a wrapper for an mp4, try direct uploading an mp4 version which should work with same players, and see if that corrects issues.

                I'm uploading in binary mode.

I'm using Fetch 5.6 and couldn't find any reference to " file resuming "

I'll see what happens with an mp4

Thank you all for the tips

You can try uploading with PASV / passive mode on or off (depending on what it is now, try the opposite)

Do you have a control panel that allows you to upload to your site?

I gave that a try. It was on and I unchecked it but got the same result.

Could it be a problem with my internet provider?

As I mentioned, I was able to upload ok for awhile and then I started experiencing this.

I have changed providers but don't remember if the change was before or after this problem.

I'm using Fetch 5.6 for FTP.

It has the preferences and when I connect to my site I get a window that shows my files with a a few options at the top.
