I have used firefox for years. Pain in the ass slow once in awhile. But I am too lazy to change over.Contact.....Johnny[at]wildg[.]comComment

internet explorer is still the best browser around , supported by the most sites. it is a tad bloated.
google chrome is fast , lacks many things, one really annoying bug is the google toolbar not being supported on their own browser
firefox is slow and bloated, nothing to gain by using it unless you use plugins.hatisblack at yahoo.comComment

FireFox, especially now that they seem to have fixed the problem of it sucking up your entire CPU at times. That got annoying, but I haven't experienced it for ages now.xMarkPro -- Ultimate Blog Network Management

I don't even use Chrome just have it installed. I opened it just now to compare the memory usage vs Firefox. It has like 5+ friggin' chrome.exe's running and uses way more memory than Firefox and that's just with one page open. If I were to use it regularly it would probably be using 2x as much memory. I don't get the Chrome hype...Comment

I love Firefox but to be fair I believe you see that because Chrome uses separate processes. It's also the case that on many systems the memory usage reported under Task Manager isn't actually being used as it appears with shared memory. Since Chrome uses separate processes it will always use slightly more (around 10 - 30%) memory than browsers that don't however it's not quite as bad as it might appear.I don't even use Chrome just have it installed. FireFox works fine here but on an older computer ...
The current version for LINUX is also different from the windoze one. That makes a difference too.Comment
