+1 for Dedico, I'm hosted there currently and I can not possibly recommend any other host more than Dedico.

Every time I've ever had anything that needs to be done it's done in less than 20 minutes... A perfect example would be just yesterday I wanted to switch over to hosting static content on a cookieliess domain. I registered the domain, hit up Dedico with a ticket to add a new DNS entry for the domain. 20 minutes later I rolled my code changes... perfect.

I've never had a problem with over sold bandwidth (I have with at least two other hosts just in the adult industry)...

I even forgot to pay a two month's hosting costs (email slipped past me) and what did Dedico do? They didn't shut me down! Cyandin just sent me an IM to let me know; of course I paid up and all was well. I appreciate hosts that understand sometimes you just get busy and miss a couple emails, hahaha ;)

I'm not a big fan of spamming offers with prices on the boards anymore, because all it seems to do is invite the group of hosts whose model is to sell you garbage and make it appear as if it were diamonds to advertise how their similarly configured server with 10 jillion gigabits of bandwidth is only $.25/10 years. :-)

Instead, I prefer to work one on one with and prospective customer, ask them a few questions to get a clear understanding of what software will be running, and what resources will be taxed most heavily, then explain why the server that I will subsequently engineer will work best for them, and meet their budgetary needs. I'm not at all a believer of "just sell the client this one cookie cutter server", but rather I feel everyone is best served when a technically savvy authority is able to go the extra mile and show that they care enough to get the client in a server that will really be the right fit for them.

That's just one of many reasons my clients can attest to the fact that I really put a lot more into this game than most do.

That's all good - I wasn't looking for a new server at the moment anyways but as kind of a hobby or what have you - I like to check out different networks, speeds, etc.

I would never get a server from you - but others reading this thread and seeing those good deals you post, quad core, 10tb bandwith, 100mb port, etc might want to check out your network, speeds, etc.

In 6 months I have picked up hundreds of servers, hired a full 24/7/365 staff, and bringing in some nice monthly recurring cheddar on this web hosting side business. What people say on GFY, or WHT, is of little concern to me.

Ouch. I have nothing against you and it's your business but most people want their hosts to be strictly professional at all times and for good reason. Posting stuff like this could hurt you. I know it would on WHT. You might want to re-think saying this stuff to people in public.
