I heard a while back they were still issuing checks for a few companies on the down low.

I will contact them today.
They owe us around $7k however there is not much we can do, even if we sue them it will cost an absolute min. of $10k retainer plus for us they are out of state so we would probably have to hire an attorney in their state. Once you throw in the governments involvement it just does not make sense for us to take that route.

I had some frozen money from them, so I recently contacted them and asked which sponsor issued which check. They were nice enough to tell me and then I was able to collect the money by contacting the sponsor.

i can't believe companies can get away with this. if its too costly to sue them, at least call the cops and try and get them arrested.

I'm shocked with that too. I thought that they can't escape with our money if they are US based company. And they owe money to people from US.

But looks like they can. Or maybe big US programs get their money. And all other programs were fucked.

me too. delivered from other bank acc of theirs. cleared, months after shit hit the fan. new, differently looking check as well.

I have just talked to Chrissy from Webmasterchecks via Skype. She gave me an update.
They are still waiting for the government to finish up their part.

She also gave me contact of their attorney, who will be handling the distribution of all frozen funds.

WebmasterChecks is a very different situation. Nobody there ran off with anything, there was a government action that requires a mountain of red-tape to be processed.

I am still of the belief that they will actually be back in action sooner rather than later - and stronger than ever.

Not sure I want to call them out since it seems they have only continued to work with specific companies on the down low. This sponsor has paid me like clockwork for years, would hate for that to stop.
