How do free blog host insert the ad stripe across the top of blogs automatically for each blog? Is it code added to each blog theme or is it more complicated?

I was searching there also but i was using the wrong wording maybe... also im not a great coder, I do ok though so im assuming that i can name this file they suggested anything and call it with php? Or would it auto show up? I dont want to screw around too much without knowing for sure, there is about 150 active blogs on this site.

Something I just though about is are you wanting the same stripe across every theme or are you going to want different colour stripes to go with different themes?

personally i'd just be adding it to header.php so the stripe went with the theme.

for me, the best way is to include it in your theme, but there are plugins that handle it. Anyways, if I can avoid a plugin, I go for the no plugin approach

I assume you want something so you can add ads on every site in the network without them removing it.
