What gets me is the core2 Quads are still $150+ even though they are old technology and now they have the brand new stuff at $200. I was expecting them to drop to $100 or less.

I am a i7 freak as well... we had a machine custom built by MESH in the UK... for our HD video stuff... it is pretty quick lol

what do you use that beast for? just general webmastering?

webmaster shit, video encoding, video editing, pretty much everything, since its my only desktop at the moment, but i would rather have an imac, which I might go down that route later.
