    eBay question

First time I've ever sold anything on eBay. How long do I give the winner to pay before I go to the second runner up? Guy won my item on Thursday and I haven't heard anything from him yet.

    Tips?

I usually go three business days without a response and move onto the next person or relist.

            Spend you some brain.

3 days is the norm. ive never ever had to relist. fuck that shit. you bid-you win-you pay! ill send an email after two days wondering whats up. more than 1 week? get ebay involved. they'll send them an email and that usually gets their attention.

I called the last guy who didn't pay. I'd sent emails, ebay non-payer notices.. the phone call got his attention and he paid almost immediately.

If you do sell it to the 2nd highest bidder or re-list the item remember to file with ebay so you do not have to pay double fees. Seller dispute form (if it comes to that) -http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/unpaid-items.html

ebay sucks in this respect. heaps of non-paying buyers on higher end products. annoying as fuck.

Did you send an eBay invoice? You need to do that and it usually prods most folks into paying. They have a help section on eBay that will explain all the steps you should take to satisfy the eBay gods.

I did this on Thursday and I also e-mailed him today. We'll see. I can wait, I just don't know how this whole process works. I wanted to get it out in the mail on Monday, but whatever. Though requiring sellers to ship within three days and not requiring buyers to pay within three days is kind of silly.
