    I've tried to install on Windows 7 some old programs that working perfectly on Win XP.
    Guess what? They didn't work though I've tried all possible compatiblity modes...

      I had no problems and love win 7. Stop using crappy hacked programs from 1997 and you shouldn't have a problem running shit.

            I found old drivers to install XP on a new machine before I sold it.

            I will wait for it to work. XP took about 5 years, so, ask me in 2019.

              Windows 7 is actually one of the better things micro$oft has done.

              I hated Vista and went back to XP when that came out, windows 7 runs great. I guess it's what Vista should have been...

              Hit and miss. But I am happy with 7.

                as a mcse systems engineer in my day job, I would have to say that win7 is by far the best version that has been released. lots of happy users using it on laptop and desktop machines at work, and those with older hardware are still on XP. I myself would still recommend Ubuntu Linux for anyone that has the pc skills to understand it, as I use both at work and think Linux is far better and more secure, especially on the interweb
