Is It Common For Programs To Do This?

I was checking my stats yesterday and came across a program, where I am signed up for PPS, and was not getting credited for sales.

The stats would read something like 3 sales @ $35 but only showing $70. So I emailed them and asked them what happened. They told me that the surfer was declined at their 1st processor but approved at their second processor and that their second processor is only Rev Share and it was a free trial. Is this a common thing to do?

I asked to see the second processor payment page, to see if their were any crosssales but have yet to hear back. I am overall happy with the sponsor but this struck me as odd. It was only a few sales here and there but still they can add up.

anything to make a buck off your traffic. Should do more mainstream/product stuff. simple and straightforward.
