I just joined and havn't loaded my account through a bank account yet. Can I still recieve payments in the mean time?

No you can't. I just tried this a few weeks ago and it didn't work. I thought it was bull shiat since I only use epassporte to accept payments but did it and now I am activated. I suggest you just load yourself.

if you have pp, just ask one of those guys who do pp to epass transfers.. that should solve your problem hth

Accounts can not be activated by p2p transactions.
You will need to load your account or receive from a business account.
