CPU overhit problems?

Check your CPU temp with programs like CoreTEMP32, i had 100+ on both cores. Then i opened my machine, removed FAN and cleaned full hand of fucking dust, now its working on 50max when is 100 cpu usage. So check temp sometimes, will not melt down that way

My gaming rig gets up to 55c under full load on one core. the other three are more like 52 or 53c. idle's around 30c on all cores. If I see it go above 60c on any during intensive gaming, I let it cool down for a bit. My gpu on the other hand gets up to like 90c playing crysis and stuff. No big deal, it's supposed to be spec'd for 120c before it throttles itself to decrease output.

honestly, if you haven't cleaned the inside of the case out with duster in at least a month, go and buy some now. Keep it running cool so that it lasts for a long time. My brother's old computer died because it was basically more dust than computer. He'd never opened it up, let alone blown the dust out. Don't use a vacuum inside the computer, it mgiht fuck it up.

I use asrock octuner to check my core temps. I wished I knew how to overclock properly as this can all be done from the program.

What kind of case do you have? Im using stock fan on my cpu but had a crappy generic box and upgraded all my cases to one of these they really help with the air flow. 2 nice fans in the front to blow on the HD's,1 to blow air out back and giant one on the top to blow the hot air from the top of the case.

I have 5 rigs which are all overclocked. Good aftermarket coolers are great, but one key thing is to have airflow through the front of the case, and exhausted out the back.

If the ambient temp of the room is high, then its going to knock your cpu to dangerous temps when its on full load.

I have an airconditioned space for my animation business, because last summer I had to render a giant job during the hottest week of summer, and the CPU crashes were killing me, and almost cost me my best client.

Corsair makes a great, simple to intsll water cooler for about 75 bucks -- it keeps the temps in the 30's, if you're not doing anything too serious.

My Quad core (AMD) sits on just under 40 degrees on idel, standard gaming without my main blower active around 45.

I OC it to 4.2GHZ per core other day (3.2GHZ standard) played some Mass Effect 2 with all my fans and Blower on and it didn't go over 42.
