What hardware/equipment does everyone recomend for doing the following. Please provide some links so I can check out pricing etc.

Im in the states and have ntsc video equipment. I will be receiving some minidv tapes that are in Pal format. I will need to get them onto my pc and edit them. Trying to do so without breaking the bank, basicly keeping is as low cost as possible without lowering quality much.

What are your suggestions, or what do you personally do or use?

unless this is something that you will take on on a regular basis, it may be best to outsource them. converting pal to ntsc can be a bit of a pain.

Outsourcing may be an option for now, but will be doing it often so I do wish to look ahead.

Also interested in seeing any outsourcing info or places.

          -Get a extra harddisk
          -Get a boot manager
-Install Premier on the second disk, but configure it as a PAL setup
-When you get the MiniDV - use that to capture the tape, and then export as a NTCS file
-REboot on the first Harddisk (with perier installed as a NTCS setup) and use the new NCTS file you just made
